1. Which is your favourite fic?
I've written so many in the ten years or so that I've been writing fan fiction (amazing how time flies), that I can't name just one. Besides, it changes over time. At one point, my X files fics were my favorites, and even now, after so many years, I still like them a lot. Robin of Sherwood is another favorite fandom. In general I tend to be more proud of my historic fics than the others, because I get to show off my great knowledge of history. LOL. (If I can't give myself compliments, who will?) I'm also quite proud of the fandoms set in 'other' countries - that is non-English speaking countries (or non-Nordic countries), i e France, Germany/Austria or Mexico. To name one fic, I'll say Escape to Sherwood because it was such a new idea for me, to use a character from present day England and send her back in time (and no, it's far from a Mary Sue fic, I don't do those, quite apart from the fact that I don't live in England).
2. Which is your best-received fic?
I've had a few that got quite a few reviews. One of them is Winding Road based on Cold Case. Some of my Robin of Sherwood fics also got good reviews.
3. Which is your worst-received fic?
I'd say it's a tie between my Will & Grace fics and my Stargate SG1 fics. In one case I've been sternly lectured about the impossibility of pairing up a straight woman and a gay guy (even, as in this case, purely for humorous reasons), in the other, I've had a fic torn apart by someone who apparenty used to be an army brat and loved to nitpic people's fics to shreds. Somehow, I've never felt the same about Stargate SG1 since then.
4. Which is your angsty-est fic?
LOL. It might be easier to list my non-angsty fics, but - let's see. My Commander in Chief fics Caesar's Wife and Free Ride are good examples. Some of my crossover fics between Crossing Jordan and the UK series Silent Witness are also very angsty and so is my fic based on the UK series Extremely Dangerous (starring Sean Bean). But really, I'm an angst writer first and foremost.
5. Which is your funniest fic?
I have written actual humor fics (though I always feel guilty when I write a humor fic based on a sitcom), but there are others that are not actually meant as humor fics but can be quite funny anyway. Also, different people have different ideas of what's funny. However, maybe my The Chronicle fic Say It Again, also my House fics and my Starsky and Hutch fic If There Be Dragons (based on the movie), and my Torchwood fics. Finally, Sugar Train, my one fic based on a book fandom (Stephanie Plum).
7. Fluffiest?
I don't really do fluff. There might be passages of fics that are quite fluffy, but never the whole ric.
8. Have you ever made someone cry with a fic?
I don't think so, but maybe someone came close. After all, my fics are very angsty.
9. Which fic frustrates you the most?
I'd have to say the ones I haven't written yet - or the ones I have written that I know are good but people have never even noticed them, and certainly not read them.
10. Which fic was the most fun to write?
Torchwood fics are always a lot of fun. So was the one based on Starsky and Hutch.
11. Who is your favourite OC you've ever created?
I'm quite fond of a female character, Susannah, I made up for my Commander in Chief fic Free Ride. Again, not a Mary Sue. Also another female character, Sandra, I made up for my Crossing Jordan/Silent Witness fics.
12. Are you better at oneshot or multipart?
The only times I've had 'multipart' stories are when a story becomes too long to fit comfortably into the fic format and has to be divided into 'chapters'. On the other hand, most of my fics set in the same fandom are loosely connected.
13. Which character do you think you're the best at portraying?
That's a very difficult question. I'd say it's up to my readers to decide. This isn't really answering the question, but I do enjoy writing a rude, disrespectful character, like House.
14. Which character is the most difficult for you to portray?
Perhaps those I don't really like. However, after writing about them, I find myself warming to them, at least a bit and I begin to see their point of view.
15. Tag five other authors!
No. Anyone who feels so inclined can do the meme, then, if they like to, comment and let me know about i
