I just finished reading "The Golden Boys" and I really enjoyed it. I found it interesting to have a firsthand account of Guy's and Robert's experiences with d'Aubry after the references made to d'Aubry in previous stories from this series. You did a great job of fleshing out d'Aubry's character and making him even more creepier and manipulative than I'd imagined. He obviously had a pretty big impact on both Guy and Robert. In fact, I'd say that d'Aubry played a role in shaping Guy's character, especially in terms of some of his negative traits.

I just realized that I never read "Escape to Sherwood" (probably because I keep falling behind with my flist), so I'll try to get to it soon.

Thanks for reading my fic. :) I'm glad you liked it. Yes, I was trying to explain Guy's personality, when I wrote this. I hope it seemed credible. It felt terrible leaving him in that situation, when it's going to be years until his life takes a turn for the better (in to my universe).

As you know it's not part of the other fic series, so it's a bit different, but I hope you'll enjoy it anyway. :)

Sorry I am so late in commenting, I'm just now catching up on things. Normally I don't quite agree with your portrayal of Robert, but I really enjoyed this story. :)
