Writer's Block: Forgive and forget?

I hold grudges. Basically forever. I never forgive or forget, but I can decide to let go and move on. If someone said 'sorry' and meant it, I might forgive. It's never happened though.

I forgive very easily if someone says sorry, unless it's a repeat offense. By that point, the sorry doesn't mean much, does it?

If someone doesn't apologize or admit that they were wrong... oh man, I just can't let it go. This year I've been really learning how to let go of the past, because some of this anger, like with my family, has just been haunting me. And I realize they have power over me and shouldn't, so I'm working on learning to let go, even if I don't forgive.

It took me a long time to learn how to let go, so don't feel bad if it takes you a long time. It's tough, but I feel it's worth it. Grudges are hard work. :)
